Venture Capital/Family Office with interests in the Cannabis industry is looking for a driven Accounting professional to be the CFO's #2.


Compensation : $130000 - $200000

Job Function:

 

  • Family Office Responsibilities:
    • Paying Personal Invoices (Credit Cards, Mortgages, Rent, Trusts, properties, families, weddings, parties, etc.) and handling Employee Expense Reports  
    • General Review of bank balances/Amex/Spend and Day to Day oversight - examples such assets (boat, artwork, etc.), transferring shares to pay off interest, architect etc.
    • Analyzing Memberships/Clubs  
    • Home Improvements Priority List / Process / Property Taxes / Filing Grievances
  • Venture Capital/Management Company Responsibilities:
    • Investment Share Activity Reporting
    • Portfolio Company Ownership Report
    • Management Financial Statements
    • Growth Capital Account and Financial Statements
    • Fund Financial and Capital Account Statements
    • Carried Interest Calc by Share Class and by Owner
    • Share Distribution Notice/Calc/Paperwork/Medallion Stamps etc.
    • Full Spectrum NAV Package and Investor Statements


Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of hands on corporate accounting, management company, or family office experience
  • Ability to be in office in Connecticut based office 3 days a week
  • Sage or QuickBooks experience required
