Analyst - Model Risk Management

Pioneer in the Fintech space is looking to fill a newly created Analyst role within it's Model Risk Management team that sits within the greater "Risk Office". The firm offers a hybrid in-office work policy and the hiring manager is offering a lot of autonomy with plenty of room for professional growth and development.
Compensation : $85000 - $10000
Administer and monitor yearly model life cycle activities.
Ensure model validation through review, analysis, assessment, and documented evidence to confirm model accuracy and reliability.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of model risk assessments, validation results, and model-related policies and procedures.
Identify, analyze, and communicate model risk concerns and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Ensure that all models are compliant with relevant internal policies, regulatory requirements, and guidelines, making necessary adjustments as needed.
Proactively maintain partnerships with stakeholders from various departments, such as enterprise risk management, product management, finance, and IT, to provide insight and support related to model risk management.
Prepare reports on model risk management for committee and regulatory meetings.
Perform special projects and additional duties as required
Monitor market developments and best practices to improve and enhance the existing model risk management framework
- BS degree from an accredited university in analytics or any related quantitative degree; Master's degree preferred
- Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize and analyze information
- Ability to understand management objectives, risk appetite, tolerances and impact of changes to risk profiles
