Pioneer in the Fintech space is looking to fill a newly created Analyst role within it's Model Risk Management team that sits within the greater "Risk Office".  The firm offers a hybrid in-office work policy and the hiring manager is offering a lot of autonomy with plenty of room for professional growth and development.

Job Function

  • Administer and monitor yearly model life cycle activities.

  • Ensure model validation through review, analysis, assessment, and documented evidence to confirm model accuracy and reliability.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of model risk assessments, validation results, and model-related policies and procedures.

  • Identify, analyze, and communicate model risk concerns and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Ensure that all models are compliant with relevant internal policies, regulatory requirements, and guidelines, making necessary adjustments as needed.

  • Proactively maintain partnerships with stakeholders from various departments, such as enterprise risk management, product management, finance, and IT, to provide insight and support related to model risk management.

  • Prepare reports on model risk management for committee and regulatory meetings.

  • Perform special projects and additional duties as required

  • Monitor market developments and best practices to improve and enhance the existing model risk management framework



Job Requirements:

  • BS degree from an accredited university in analytics or any related quantitative degree; Master's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize and analyze information
  • Ability to understand management objectives, risk appetite, tolerances and impact of changes to risk profiles
  • Python
