A 30 person full-service CPA firm that has been in business for over 35 years is seeking a Senior Auditor. They have an Audit, Tax, and Outsourced Accounting Group that have established clients in the Financial Services (Broker-Dealer) and non Financial Services Space.

  • Staying current on accounting and reporting standards and various industry developments
  • Detailed review of audit procedures primarily for financial services clients
  • Supervise, train and mentor staff
  • Review financial statements and disclosures for completeness and accuracy
  • Compliance with Firm and professional guidelines
  • Identify audit and risk management issues
  • Research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
  • Oversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-up
  • Primary client contact and liaison for complex issues that staff are unable to resolve; communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel
  • Communicate with Engagement Partner on work status and client issues that arise
  • Participate in firm’s marketing and recruitment efforts

Job Requirements:


 

  • Three (3) to five (5) years prior work experience in public accounting
  • Prior significant supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage engagements, including scheduling and budgeting
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
  • Knowledge of SEC and PCAOB reporting rules
  • Knowledge of hedge fund and broker-dealer industry preferred
