Great Opportunity with Regional CPA Firm seeking a Bookkeeper.

Compensation : $70000 - $800000

Job Function:

  • Prepare monthly cash reports
  • Prepare journal entries for the monthly close and maintain general ledger
  • Prepare and run weekly payrolls. Review quarterly NYS form 45 filings
  • Supervise cash management functions for the clients’ offices, including AP entries, checks, wires, and wire templates
  • Set up new domestic bank accounts
  • Set up new vendors in the ledger system and ensure all required new vendor documentation is saved in the ledger system
  • Maintain Loan Receivable schedule and send out notices of interest and principal due
  • Review monthly capital improvement reports
  • Review 1099 filings; bank reconciliations; insurance applications; investment and brokerage account statements
  • Reconcile multiple asset and liability accounts across internal databases and update schedules
  • Maintain personal income and property tax payment schedules
  • Compile quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Prepare budget to actual reports; weekly/monthly spend reports, vendor analysis reports and various financial reports as requested by clients’ management
  • Prepare monthly closing entries including depreciation, accrued liabilities, deferred revenue, and contributions receivables
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Payroll a MUST!, and demonstrated ability to use a computer for administrative, accounting and financial work
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • High attention to detail and process-oriented skills a MUST!
  • Ability to maintain focus with interruptions and multi task
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with partners, staff and clients
  • Ability to deal with matters that carry a high degree of confidentiality
  • Confident, proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, quick thinking, goal, results oriented
