WhiteCap Search is seeking an experienced and skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with years of IT expertise to join our client's innovative team. As a BI Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting data solutions that drive informed business decisions.

Job Function:

  • Utilize years of IT experience to design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and BI solutions using MS SQL Server versions ranging from 7.0 to 2016, including SQL Azure, Oracle, and DB2.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading operations.
  • Leverage SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for multidimensional data modeling and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for designing and delivering insightful reports.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design data models, and create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
  • Implement and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) solutions for various report types and distribute them to the appropriate audiences.
  • Use T-SQL scripts to write and optimize stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Contribute to performance tuning efforts, query optimization, and database consistency checks using various SQL Server utilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving database issues, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
  • Work with SQL Azure for database maintenance and administration, including storage and container management.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Over 10 years of experience in ETL/BI development, data analysis, and system support, with a strong focus on MS SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI.
  • In-depth understanding of relational databases, data modeling principles, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with languages such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, C#, and more.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex database issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with SQL Azure, Oracle, and DB2, and the ability to work across different database systems.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Erwin, NetIQ, TFS, JIRA, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, UNIX, and MS DOS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, conflict resolution abilities, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is a plus.
