A fast growing, Private Equity backed hospitality company is looking to hire a Controller.


Compensation : $150000 - $170000

Job Function:

  • Manage all finance and accounting operations, including routine and month-end A/R, A/P and GL activities, as well as certain key aspects of payroll preparation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with GAAP including revenue recognition.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of budgets, financial forecasts, variance reports and financial statements.
  • Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Support the annual tax preparation and coordinate with external tax accountants.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance and risk management.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to establish, maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency and support financial reporting requirements and ad hoc projects.
  • Continuously improve and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy including the implementation of a new accounting system (Sage – Intacct)


Job Function:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • 2-4+ years of experience as a Controller or a similar role with 10+ years of accounting and finance experience, with a deep and broad understanding of most areas of a financial organization and accounting department
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
