Growing asset management firm with a newly acquired insurance/financial services entity is looking to hire a Controller level professional with annuities or life insurance experience.

  • Oversee all aspects of the quarterly close process for insurance statutory reporting and regulatory filings include statutory statements.
  • Responsible for investment reporting and management with third party vendor.
  • Perform trust analysis and oversee reporting to reinsurers.
  • Analysis and preparation of budget to actual results, quarterly trend analysis, and communication of results to senior management.
  • Prepare responses to state regulatory inquiries and requests for financial information as necessary.
  • Coordinate with and assist state and outside auditors, and regulatory agencies, in any examinations and audits of the Company‚Äôs financial statements and periodic statutory filings.
  • Assist in the due diligence and integration of newly acquired blocks of business.
  • Work across departments and with various Third-Party Administrators and vendors  


Job Requirements:


  • BS or BA in accountancy
  • 7 - 12 years' experience in insurance accounting and reporting, or general accounting experience.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Life or Annuity insurance/reinsurance experience
  • Experience with Oracle Netsuite or Clearwater is preferred
  • US GAAP or IFRS experience preferred
