Job Function:
- Investment Process: Take an active role in all phases of the investment process including deal screening, qualitative and quantitative evaluation of potential transactions, due diligence, underwriting and structuring of both LP and GP-led transactions
- Investment Committee Communication: Play an active role in the preparation and presentation of due diligence findings and recommendations to the S3 Credit Solutions Investment Committee
- Deal Execution: Work with in-house finance and legal teams and external advisors on the preparation of various transactional analysis and documentation
- Business Strategy: Actively participate in business development and other projects, including markets and manager research as well as preparation of materials for senior management and other internal and external stakeholders
- Portfolio Monitoring and Stakeholder Communications: Actively contribute to portfolio monitoring of existing investments, preparing updates with quarterly performance metrics and investor reporting in partnership with Apollo platform teams
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience at an investment bank, asset manager, or an investment advisory role within principal private debt investing, direct lending, leveraged finance, M&A, structured credit, and secondaries areas
- Strong quantitative capabilities and knowledge of credit analysis; knowledge and understanding of credit secondaries is a plus
- Strong presentation and communication abilities, detail orientation and an exceptional technical skillset
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and rigorous work environment; demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
- Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities – must demonstrate a proactive, positive attitude toward given tasks
- Self-starter with a willingness to execute projects within a small, nimble team
- Exemplary interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive information and confidential situations
- Team-oriented and collaborative attitude is a must; ability to work independently and be able to attract talent and lead and work with a dedicated team over the longer term
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel modelling and PowerPoint
