Highly prestigious and sophisticated global investment and technology development firm's Market Leading Renewable Energy arm seeks a Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting. This role provides broad exposure to the entire business and involves interacting with various groups including front office for deal/transaction related items.

  • Ownership of the Firm’s financial reporting workflow
  • Timely preparation of financial reports filed with the SEC or other counterparties, which may include forms 10-K, 10-Q, and quarterly earnings releases and related XBRL requirements;
  • Performing and directing technical accounting research and oversight with respect to the Firm’s most complex and material transactions involving acquisitions, purchase and sale transactions, and restructurings;
  • Manage ad hoc requests from various stakeholders within the firm, including deal teams and asset managers, and assist senior management with special projects and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and communicate new or evolving accounting standards, assist with the technical evaluation, documentation, and implementation of those new/revised standards, and be responsible for overall accounting policy.

Job Requirements:


 

  • 6-10 years of experience in financial accounting, including public company financial operations, and financial reporting, preferably in the energy, real estate, or financial services sectors, are required. Prior experience at a Big Four accounting firm is preferred but not required.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is required.
  • Experience accounting for large and complex consolidations and M&A transactions is a plus, as is experience with Workday ERP or Workiva.
