This Finance Lead role will focus on the Asset management & Resource Planning for a respected energy company in the New England area. The ideal candidate will focus primarily on operating expenses and capital expenses.  This is a hybrid position offering 3 days WFH and 2 days in office in Waltham, MA!

Compensation : $110000 - $130000

Job Function:

  • Support the business in developing and performance managing annual operating expenses and capital investments.
  • Manage financial risks and the implementation and maintenance of controls.
  • Accountable for the   monthly and quarterly performance results  
  • Conduct finance review of capital projects for internal approval
  • Lead the long-term business planning for capital projects, working with stakeholders across the business, linking activity and outcomes to financial investment levels.
  • Understand the regulatory structure of NE Electric operating companies (along with IFRS and GAAP accounting)

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Broad range of financial, management and business modelling experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills - proven track record in managing conflicting stakeholder interests.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with an ability to identify key issues and recommend solutions to complex problems using data, logic and financial insight.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams throughout the relevant business area.
  • Experience in utility service business activities and systems a plus.
