A leading alternative investment firm located in Fairfield County is looking to add a fund accountant to the team. The role will be a true hybrid of responsibilities beyond just accounting with involvement in the fund's valuations process and significant interaction with the traders.


Compensation : $80000 - $100000

Job Function:

  • Assist with the preparation of fund financials and NAV calculations
  • Perform portfolio valuations and present to traders and the valuation committee
  • Analyze and improve current reporting methods  
  • Address investor inquiries regarding financials and performance
  • Manage work performed by the fund's external administrator
  • Assist with various special projects as needed


Job Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of audit experience with a focus on clients in the alternative investment space
  • Strong academic background
  • CPA and CFA license a big plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling
  • A team player mindset with a strong work ethic
