Growing, well-known event driven hedge fund is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their team.

Compensation : $100000 - $160000

  • Assist with the Fund NAV process, valuation, investor audit confirmations, audit preparation
  • Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly VPM entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with all Fund products, in particular bank loan trades and related accounting information, including settlement, corporate actions, liaising with TRS counter-parties and Fund Administrator
  • Assist with Form PF, OPRA reporting, and other regulatory filings
  • Ad hoc projects, reports, and analyses as required
  • Considerable growth opportunities

Job Requirements:


  • 4-8 years relevant experience
  • Buy side, fund administrator, or public accounting experience (or any combination thereof) required
  • CPA preferred
  • Operational understanding of traded products, especially credit products (e.g. bank loans, high yield bonds and distressed debt) and swaps (e.g. TRS, CDS, basket swaps, single name swaps)
  • VPM or other similar system experience required Tax knowledge a plus – e.g. book-to-tax and permanent vs. temporary differences, partnership book vs. tax allocations, withholding tax, OID and market discount, corporate actions
  • Experience interacting with vendors – e.g. fund administrators, prime brokers, auditors, pricing vendors
  • Understanding of basic fund documentation – e.g. subscription documents
  • Knowledge of Form PF, OPRA and other regulatory filings
  • Team oriented and detail oriented, but not losing sight of broad objective
  • Excel proficiency
  • Strong verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to act on and react quickly to changing priorities
