Top tier prestigious global asset manager is looking for a VP of Fund Accounting to join it's already impressive team due to the growth of the fund. This person will join a highly collaborative team and report to the Head of Fund Accounting.

Job Function:

  • Assist the team with completing the month end financial close process, preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing the fund administrator, assisting in year-end audits, and performing other responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to time
  • Proper accounting and financial reporting for structured product vehicles
  • Compliance with legal documents and SEC custody rule by coordinating annual audits for structured product vehicles
  • Production of capital statements, holdings reports, and financial statements for investors
  • Key collaborator on launching, investing in, and liquidation of structured product vehicles
  • Responsible for all fee calculations of structured product vehicles including management fees, admin fees, loan admin fees, incentive, carried interest, and expense reimbursements
  • Encourage collaboration between accounting and corporate social responsibility teams
  • Manages a small team to ensure deadlines are met and staff are developed

Job Requirements:

  • 7-10 years experience in public accounting, or in house fund accounting
  • Hedge Fund or Private Equity experience required, credit experience specifically a major plus (CLOs, CDOs, etc.)
  • SPV experience a major plus as well
  • Priority given to applicants with CPA
