Our client is a well-established Credit Hedge Fund focused on global credit markets, with offices in New York and London. Having launched 20 years ago, they have more than $5Bil AUM and 3 offices globally with more than 70 employees. This analyst on an established portfolio team will be tasked to focus on the Financial sector including Banks, REITs, Servicers & specialty finance—developing & maintaining complex financial models, credit metrics and trade analysis. 


Compensation : $135000 - $200000

Job Function:

  • Conduct ongoing sector & portfolio analysis
  • Develop & maintain complex trading models
  • Analyze corporate earnings & trustee reports
  • Support PM & senior analysts generating data-driven investment ideas & trade recommendations
  • Prepare & present investment ideas, reports to upper management
  • Work with Quant Researchers & in-house developers to develop dashboards & real-time analysis


Job Requirements:

  • 2 – 5 years experience as an investment analyst at an established Hedge Fund, Investment Bank or Specialty Financial company who actively trades within US liquid credit (no structured)
  • Proven experience in fundamental credit research with strong quantitative underpinnings
  • Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field preferred
  • Expert level Excel/VBA with strong modeling and use of Pivot Tables
  • Experience with Python for real-time reporting & dashboards
  • Comfortable working independently or in collaboration within a fast-paced, team-centric environment
  • Experience working on a book a plus—but, not looking for a trader
  • CFA designation or progress toward a plus
