We are looking for a solid Junior Fundamental Credit Analyst who has experience with all grade credits but a specialty in High Yield as a primary grade. This is an excellent growth opportunity with our client, an established, Global multi-strategy Hedge Fund with more than $15Bil AUM headquartered in New York City, that is expanding their liquid credit team.

Job Function:

  • Reporting into Global Head & PM, assist in the research & investment management for HY/XO Long-Short liquid credit
  • Building financial models and presenting ideas to the Portfolio Manager
  • Provide thorough write-ups and assessments on targeted High Yield, Cross-Overs & Distressed credits
  • Communicate trade ideas back to larger research team and Portfolio Manager who also leads the global credit team
  • Monitor & provide due diligence & updates on targeted credits  
  • Build & enhance existing relationships with Sell-Side Counterparties & 3rd party vendors  
  • Responsible for extensive write ups and financial reporting for trade development & optimization

Job Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years experience in fundamental credit/equity analysis within a top Investment Bank or Hedge Fund focused fundamental credit
  • Expertise working with high yield, cross-over & distressed credit
  • Solid analytical, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication skills, written & verbal, required for developing & presenting trade ideas and thesis
  • Openness & ability to multi-task working across the Credit Group assisting other teams & PMs as needed on developing, optimizing & reporting on trade ideas
  • Strong financial modeling skill set
  • Bachelors or Advanced degrees preferably in STEM, Finance & related field of studies
  • Experience working with convertible issuance at
  • Must be authorized to work within the USA and open to full-time in-office hours
