Human Resources Manager

A growing 500-person financial services firm based in Morris County is seeking to hire a full-time HR Manager in a newly created position. The role will focus on employee relations but can work with all parts of HR.
Compensation : $100000 - $125000

Job Function:
- Take ownership of any and all employee relations and investigations of employee compliants and policy where necessary – fully understanding to identify issues, investigate complaints, and work towards solutions.
- Develop and maintain business data and contribute to weekly meetings and written/verbal reports.
- Assist with performance management activities to align with the timing of performance management and/or talent development processes
- Utilize strong writing skills to create internal communication materials
- Contribute to projects and develop materials that advance strategic ER best practices, employment law trends and other topics and present recommendations
- Understand and contribute to employee retention efforts
- Understand our business and its strategy, partner with the business to create impact across the organization
- Partner internally within the HR team to collaborate, evaluate, project-manage, and deliver results
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, related field or professional experience equivalent
- 5-10 years in HR, with the majority coming in employee relations
- Working knowledge of state/federal employment law
- Prior experience in corporate financial services is a plus
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, time management, interpersonal/problem-solving skills; and proven ability to make independent judgments when appropriate
