The ideal hire will be a self-motivated individual with 3-5+ years of Hedge Fund buyside experience to join a growing team as an Investor Relations-Business Development Associate. This role will have high visibility in supporting experienced, senior business development professionals focused on institutional and private wealth investors, as well as helping to develop best practices and procedures as it pertains to IR/BD for the group. As the newest member of the Investor Relations & Business Development team of five professionals--there is opportunity to participate in the firm’s marketing, content and branding efforts.

 

Core responsibilities include:  

  • Working with the heads of our Client's Business Development team to develop, update, maintain, and distribute investor materials, including marketing decks, factsheets, DDQ/RFIs, and consultant databases.
  • Assist in managing and leveraging the firm’s CRM for investor communications, prospecting efforts, and coordinating external meetings
  • Liaise with various internal teams including Legal, Operations and Investments to ensure consistency and accuracy of information sent to clients & prospective investors
  • Collaborate with key professionals to design & create relevant marketing collateral, performance analytics and portfolio reports
  • Conduct competitive analysis of the digital asset manager landscape and track key trends, terms, vehicles, and strategies in an organized framework
  • Leverage technology to streamline & create efficiencies in the group’s processes and procedures
  • Participate in investor onboarding
  • Help coordinate investor due diligence meetings
  • Assist senior team with interaction with investors
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with core Fund investors
  • Respond to ad-hoc investor requests on a timely basis
  • Prepare custom presentation decks for clients and prospects
  • Assist the team with various social media marketing and branding initiatives, ie, LinkedIn, etc.

Job Requirements:


 

  • Degree in Economics/ Finance/ Marketing or a similar field
  • 3-5+ years of experience at a respected hedge fund or private equity firm in an Investor Relations and/or Business Development support role
  • Collaborative Owner Mentality while remaining highly collaborative
  • A versatile “athlete” with a balanced EQ-IQ critical thinker with a curious mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills  
  • Experience in creating “client-ready” marketing documents for external stakeholders
  • An entrepreneurial, “ownership” mindset that drives personal excellence and commitment
  • Passion for the digital asset / crypto space a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint
  • Backstop CRM experience a plus
