Job Function:

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex IT projects related to application development within the financial services industry.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables; create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Employ Agile methodologies to manage projects, ensuring adaptive planning, continuous improvement, and early delivery of value.
  • Effectively communicate project status, issues, risks, and opportunities to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage project resources, including coordinating internal and external teams, assigning tasks, and ensuring tasks are completed within scope and timeline.
  • Mitigate risks and proactively address challenges that may impact project delivery; develop and execute contingency plans as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and a culture of innovation.
  • Track project performance, measure outcomes against initial objectives, and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes within the financial services domain.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a focus on application development.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the financial services sector.
  • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software to effectively plan, track, and manage projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing teams, including assigning tasks, providing mentorship, and driving team performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • PMI PMP, ScrumMaster, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry regulations, compliance, and security standards is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget.
