JOB DETAILS

Job Function:

• 100% Hematopathology role, no general surgical required, but can do if interested
• Department of 4 full time pathologists that provide PT coverage at Hospital, Blood Banker, Director of Laboratory, Anatomic Pathology Manager, Multiple PAs that handle grossing
• Monday-Friday 9am-5pm schedule, 1 day per week 8 am start
• Department annual volume: 170 peripheral bloods, 200 bone marrows, 84 lymph nodes
• Flow cytometry sent out to reference lab (integrated oncology - part of LabCorp) and flow interpretation done onsite  
• Tumor boards meet twice a month with active group of oncologists
• Opportunity for teaching and research - partnership with medical school which has medical students and a 24-person residency class

Job Requirement:

• Fellowship training in Hematopathology is required

• Interest in academia and teaching  

• NYS license, DEA and Board Certification required

• H1B Candidate to be considered
