JOB DETAILS

Job Function:

• High volume of electronic claims (100 per day), determining whether the service is billable or not and the status for billing - ex: Medicare, Medicaid, 3rd Party, Self Pay, etc.  
• Utilizing the ECW System for transmitting all billings
• Analyzing and ensuring all data entered is complete and correct
• Handling denials, and preparing monthly analysis of denials from all services and analysis for grants as required by location.
• Credentialing providers and organization of folders as it pertains insurance companies.
• Appointment scheduling and other ad hoc duties per the hiring manager.

Job Requirement:

• 2-5 years Medical Billing Experience
• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (Strongly preferred)
• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (Strongly Preferred)
• Medical Biller with Certificate a Huge Plus
• STRONG EXCEL SKILLS
• College degree preferred
• Must be familiar with Medical/Coding terminology
