A Doctor's Office in Suffolk County, Long Island is seeking a Front Desk professional to grow their team. No weekends and on Fridays the medical office closes at 1pm.


Compensation : $19 - $21

Job Function:

  • Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors
  • Process inbound phone calls in a professional manner
  • Registers new patient and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information (ex. co-payments and insurance cards)
  • Collecting patient past due balances
  • Scanning incoming faxes
  • Generate batch transmittal reports for each day
  • Facilitates the patient flow by notifying the provider or other medical staff of the patients’ arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
  • Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
  • Protects patient confidentiality, making sure protected health information (PHI) is secured by not leaving PHI in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
  • Ensuring compliance of healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards
  • Performs other position related duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Good communication, trainable.
  • Prior experience in a medical office required
