A multinational investment management firm seeks an experienced payroll manager to join its Payroll team to manage and support the payroll processes of U.S. and certain international management company entities.   • Oversee a small payroll team in New York and will be responsible for managing multiple payrolls, tax coordination, withholding and compliance, global mobility, and systems implementations.
  • Execute broad strategic visions of the function, you will also be responsible for operations on a day-to-day tactical level.
  • Develop policies and implement process changes, and you’ll interact substantially with other internal departments, including Human Capital, Tax Compliance, and software development teams.

Job Requirements:


  • A bachelor’s degree is required, along with eight or more years of payroll-related work experience. Candidates should have a solid working knowledge of payroll processes and related tax and compliance procedures.
  • The role requires a high level of organizational skills, the ability to be proactive, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a rigorous work ethic are essential, as is experience leading and developing a team.
  • An analytical approach to problem solving and the ability to be a hands-on practitioner who dives into the details is essential.
  • Workday experience is required.
  • Experience navigating tax and payroll-related global mobility issues—and developing creative solutions—is highly preferred.
