WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an inpatient pharmacist for an on-going contract at a medical center in Middlesex County, NJ.

Job Function:

  • Complies with all state and federal regulations and Medical Center policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and dispenses medication orders and clarifies any and all potential problems with orders.
  • Monitors patient drug therapy regimens for allergies, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, and potential adverse reactions.
  • Prepares admixtures using aseptic technique (e.g., IV solutions, TPN, chemotherapy).
  • Performs assigned unit inspections to assure proper maintenance and storage of medication supplies, including emergency drug supplies.


Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Knowledge of unit dose dispensing and principles of aseptic technique and related computer applications.
  • Hands on experience with Chemotherapy regimen review and prep
  • At least 5 years of Acute care experience
  • Graduate of an APCE accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with a minimum of a BS degree in Pharmacy
  • Must have taken and passed their board certification exam and received the appropriate certificate indicating attainment of board certification (certification may be obtained in the general area of pharmaceuticals or in a specialty)
  • Valid New Jersey Pharmacist License
