Experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) needed for a 30-year City-contracted Non-Profit position focused on support through transitional housing care.   Employed position with competitive compensation plan and benefits (health, dental, vision, disability), retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME, generous PTO plan, paid medical malpractice including tail coverage   Schedule: Monday, Thursday, and Friday are 9-5 pm and Tuesday/Saturday are 11-7 pm (No Sunday/Weds hours)

Compensation : $140000 - $145000

Job Function:

  • Provide triage and initial health and mental health assessment(s) of clients presenting with medical and psychiatric problems  
  • Provide psychiatric care as needed, including psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and assessment as needed  
  • Prescribe medications, review with clients’ side effects and monitors client’s response to prescribed medications  
  • Consult psychiatrist in determining treatment plans as needed
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary care team consisting of 1 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), 2 Social Workers, and 2 Case Workers (assist in providing some clinical supervision too)
  • Use motivational interviewing, recovery and trauma-informed approach when delivering services to clients

Job Requirements:

  • NY State license (active or applied preferred)

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State

  • 2 years of experience  
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required
