The Quantitative Development team works directly with Quant Researcher team members to design, implement, deploy and use-software for research and trading purposes. As part of our client's quant team, developers deploy leading development principles and work their peers in technology to ensure that all tools developed can be implemented efficiently & elegantly and the end product can be adopted broadly across the Firm's Investment & Research platform. Quantitative Developers drive cross-team initiatives with other technologists, quantitative researchers and investment professionals across all asset classes to meet & surpass our Client's business objectives.
Overall responsibilities:
- Work with Quant Research team to design & build efficient and scalable workflows for research and trading purposes
- Collaborate closely with other quants & colleagues in technology to ensure cross-firm consistency across to optimize use & re-use of core software components
- Assist in building and maintenance of the Firm's automated solutions for core trading & research infrastructure
- Maintain ownership of projects throughout their life cycle--from early production through implementation and deployment
- Contribute to continued improvement of documentation, processes & procedures with the end-user & development team in mind
- Use Python and SQL write software, process data, perform calculations and generate reports
- Lead discussions about projects and generate ideas for potential areas of development and/or research
- Meaningfully contribute to the Fund's overall data strategy

- 3 - 5+ years of professional experience as a Quantitative Developer in Financial Services
- High expertise in mathematical & statistical tools including but not limited to regression analysis, time-series analysis or constrained optimization
- Experience with processing and manipulating large data sets
- Collaborative hands on professional who culturally & intellectually assimilates into the firm
- High proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong written/verbal communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking highly organized professional
- Highly motivated and intellectually curious individual with a keen eye for automation
- Strong critical thinker who takes responsibility for their work-product, is resourceful and able to work well in this fast-paced, intellectually collaborative environment
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus
