Our client is a well-recognized multi-national Macro hedge fund with ~$1Bil AUM headquartered in New York.  They have consistently delivered top performance vs their peer group leveraging their proprietary technology & big data analytics to seamlessly trade in more than 70 markets globally. Their core trades focus on Fx, Commodities, Futures, Fixed income, Equity & Derivatives w an emphasis on RV and Volatility arbitrages in the market. Theirs is a highly collaborative, energized entrepreneurial culture with a strong technical skill set allowing the team to work seamlessly & allows them to diversify portfolio risk across markets, themes, time horizons & sub-strategies.  

Compensation : $150000 - $200000

Job Function:

  • As a quant researcher this hire will focus on Research and analyze volatility data
  • Develop, deploy, and monitor models which trade in financial markets
  • Evaluate and improve existing quantitative models
  • Generate new ideas for additional research
  • Promote best coding practices

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ Years markets experience focused on FI Macro and Vol at a top Hedge Fund or Investment Bank
  • Graduate degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, finance, economics or other related quantitative/analytical field from a top college or university
  • Expertise in Python w tight coding capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of global financial markets
  • Strong analytical skill set with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)  
  • Comfortable presenting internally & externally on ideas and book as needed
  • Motivated critical thinker who enjoys a collaborative, energized environment & team play
  • Ability to be in office in NYC
  • Authorized to work in the USA
