JOB DETAILS

Job Function:

• Performs and accurately records screening tests (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, EKG, vision, hearing) to patients of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups
• Identifies individual and community problems and makes appropriate referrals in coordination with team members
• Participates in patient counseling and education activities related to primary health care, HIV/STD prevention and treatment, child/adult health maintenance, perinatal and family planning
• Documents necessary information in patients electronic medical record
• Administers medications and treatments as authorized by the provider
• Performs simple laboratory procedures including but not limited to rapid strep test, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and tuberculosis screening

Job Requirements:

• Associate RN is required
• B.S.N. is preferred
• Current NYS RN license
• 1 year experience in community health
• 2 years previous experience in nursing preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
• Current CPR Certification
