Exciting opportunity to work with a large social services agency. Responsible for residential homes throughout Long Island.


Compensation : $40 - $40

Job Function:

  • Provide nursing care and treatment for emergency and minor relief; this includes, but is not limited to, performing assessments, giving first aid treatments, changing dressings and administering medications  
  • Collaborate with all health care professionals, pharmacies, labs and hospitals and coordinate care to ensure all health care needs of the individuals are met
  • Attend pertinent medical and psychiatric appointments to advocate for the individuals and ensure appropriate treatment plans
  • Follow up on all treatment recommendations in a timely manner  
  • Ensure all medical and psychiatric treatment plans are compliant with current Standards of Care and State Regulations  
  • Check monthly medication order for accuracy and monitor for adequate supply of medication in the residence at all times  
  • Verify each newly prescribed medication and ensure that each is filled in a timely manner; ensure fiscal responsibility around medication ordering  


Job Requirement:

  • 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred  
  • Experience in ID/DD preferred  
  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse’s License  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
  • Valid NY State Driver’s License required
