A successful real estate investments and development company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant.


Compensation : $100000 - $110000

Job Function:

  • Prepare and maintain job cost information in Yardi  
  • Collect invoices and prepare monthly draws to owner and/or lender
  • Ensure timely receipt of funds
  • Manage accounts payable invoices and payment
  • Review and maintain applicable lien waivers
  • Review and maintain insurance certificates
  • Maintain equity contributions for each development
  • Compile equity prove-up for lenders and investors
  • Assist with loan closing  
  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers and Project Executives regarding all financial responsibilities of a construction project
  • Establish point of contact with lender/investor  
  • Assist with job closeout process by verifying all outstanding costs have been recorded; final owner billings are issued; assists with collection of final billings, determine when jobs can be closed in the system
  • Work with property operations accountant to transition the property from construction to operations


Job Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years relevant accounting experience in real estate development and construction
  • Multi state experience
  • Understanding of the development and construction process
  • Experience with Yardi  
  • Experience at a publicly traded company a plus  
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
