Highly successful Family Office with a focus in Real Estate is now seeking a Senior Accountant to join their tenured team in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.

Job Function:

  • Reporting directly into the CFO, with exposure and growth across all areas of the company  
  • This role will focus on a mix of Corporate Accounting and Real Estate/Property Accounting  
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and annual budgets
  • Take part in analysis, assessment and acquisition of new properties/real estate investments
  • Prepare transactional deal workbooks for transactions that have closed  
  • Prepare monthly close accounting workbooks for various entities including bank reconciliations, accruals, reconciliation of account balances to supporting schedules and entering any required journal entries identified
  • Prepare supporting schedules for auditors and respond to audit inquiries
  • Work very closely with C-Suite and Management to come up with new processes as the company grows

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related  
  • 3+ Years of Accounting experience  
  • Mix of Corporate Accounting and Real Estate/Property Accounting - preferred
  • Real Estate industry experience - strongly preferred
  • MRI software experience - strongly preferred
  • Will consider strong candidate with Yardi (or related) experience    
  • Must possesses a strong communication and presentation skillset
