Our client, a $100b AUM asset management firm, is looking for a Senior Associate to join their real estate investment team.

Job Function:

  • Assist with set up, launch, and recordkeeping for private real estate vehicles
  • Assist with reviewing and tracking offering documents and investor side letter management
  • Form and manage entities related to the private real estate funds and investments
  • Work with outside counsel and the private real estate team in organizing and progressing time-sensitive transactional documents and due diligence undertakings
  • Review background reports and prepare a summary of findings
  • Create a timeline, checklist and schedule for each private transaction
  • Respond to investor due diligence and various AML requests
  • Review NDAs and other related agreements
  • Devise and maintain recordkeeping systems, including electronic and paper document, and file management
  • Prepare weekly agendas for private real estate meetings and coordinate across legal teams and departments to solicit feedback
  • Take detailed notes of meetings and calls with outside counsel and internal constituents, summarize action items and advice, and circulate to team members
  • Maintain and oversee mailboxes, related legal and other invoices, and calendar and meeting management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of law firm, in-house legal, or other relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Responsive, proactive and able to work independently on routine projects and collaborate on complex matters as necessary
  • Focused and detail-oriented, with excellent oral, organizational, and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint and basics of Excel); and ability to learn new databases/programs quickly (e.g. Concur)
