NYC-based multi-billion dollar hedge fund is seeking a hard-working and self-motivated professional for a hybrid Fund Accounting position

Compensation : $90000 - $110000

Job Function:
- Preparation and review of NAV calculations for Master Fund and separately managed accounts
- Perform daily cash reconciliations
- Daily interaction with prime brokers to resolve account differences
- Investigate and record corporate actions, dividends, financing costs as well as other expenses
- Calculate management fee and incentive fee
- Work on year-end audit process in collaboration with auditors and the administrator
- Review Fund tax returns and K-1s
- Assist with compliance related matters
- Work closely with the accounting team on projects that include system and reporting implementation
- Assist team with data analytics and various reconciliations
- Help maintain and improve internal database
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a 4 year college degree, Accounting major preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Hedge Fund accounting is ideal
- Knowledge of a programing language would be preferable
- Must be able to handle multiple accounts and high volume trading activity
- Ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented and can work independently
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong proficiency with Excel
- Knowledge of accounting systems, and trade-order management systems would be preferable
