Newly created Senior Fund Accounting position at a 9+ Bill. AUM Multi-Strat Global Hedge Fund in a hybrid all encompassing position that is highly visible throughout the fund.

Job Function:
- Daily and monthly accounting and reporting functions as part
of a growing fund accounting team. Collaboration across internal teams and third-party service providers to design efficient solutions and enhance current business processes will be an integral part of the senior fund accountant’s
responsibilities. - Enhance and maintain the control environment for a global multi-manager hedge fund, working closely with the third-party fund administrator as well as firm operations, middle office, compliance, and investor relations groups
- Assist with monthly closing process with the fund administrator, including reconciliation of internal records, review of close packages, investor allocations and investor statements
- Prepare and review weekly performance estimate and assist with fund performance reporting to management and portfolio managers
- Perform P&L reconciliation regularly and investigate differences between internal systems and the administrator
- Involvement in the build out of the firm’s initiative to enhance processes and controls, both internally and with our fund administrator
- Utilize technology to automate and enhance a wide variety of processes and streamline reporting
- Assist with the firm’s global regulatory filings and requirements (Form PF, CPO-PQR, SEC 13F, Singapore’s MAS requirements, etc.) and year-end audits
- Work with investor relations and other internal groups on investor queries and other ad-hoc requests

- ~ 2-6 years of accounting experience with a mixture of private/public experience
- Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance preferred)
- CPA Preferred
- Candidate must have a background in hedge funds or financial services
- Strong Excel skills; experience working with large and complex sets of data
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; detail oriented
- Effective time management and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines and to manage multiple priorities
- Must possess a team-focused attitude with a demonstrated interest and ability to work collaboratively with others, while also having the ability to be extremely effective independently
- Demonstrates initiative; proactively seeks out internal resources and proposes solutions; demonstrated ability to assumes responsibility for decisions, and to deal effectively with people in a variety of relationships and situations
