This NYC-based Senior Manager, Total Rewards role will be reporting to the Vice President of People and will serve as a key advisor overseeing benefits and non-executive compensation programs. This role involves collaborating with HR leadership to develop and implement comprehensive strategies across various compensation and benefits areas, such as salary, bonuses, commissions, equity, retirement plans, wellness, and leave programs. The ideal candidate will contribute innovative ideas for scalable total rewards programs that cater to employees' needs.

Job Function:

  • Administer leave programs, including short-term and long-term disability, Family Medical Leave, Parental Leave, and other absences.
  • Oversee self-funded and fully insured health, dental, and vision plans, tracking utilization trends and managing claims.
  • Ensure compliance with benefits regulations, including reporting and submissions for 5500's, ACA filing, HIPAA and other state mandates.
  • Conduct audits of leave payments and pre-tax elections for accuracy throughout the year, as well as benchmarking surveys and analysis of total compensation data.
  • Manage the annual open enrollment process, as well as systems and processes related to compensation strategy, benefits administration, and leave management.
  • Draft communications related to benefits and wellness programs.
  • Regularly audit compensation and leveling data; assist with the annual 401(k) audit; handle compensation changes related to annual performance reviews and promotions.
  • Monitor state compliance mandates and ensure timely responses to new and existing requirements.
  • Update the employee handbook with any changes to compensation and benefits policies.
  • Partner with HR leadership to design and implement total rewards programs that enhance the employee experience.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of progressive total rewards experience.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems, with experience in custom reporting.
  • Expertise in benefits compliance laws for multi-state employers.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compensation strategies, benefits trends, and competitive total rewards offerings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Workday HRIS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to effectively handle evolving priorities and multiple projects with tight deadlines.
