Job Function:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, UI/UX designers, and testers, to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex backend systems using .NET technologies, particularly C#, to support insurance-related functionalities such as policy management, claims processing, and customer portals.
- Create responsive and visually appealing user interfaces by utilizing CSS, HTML, and potentially JavaScript to enhance the user experience of insurance applications.
- Work closely with databases and data models to manage and manipulate insurance-related data, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services, such as payment gateways or data providers, to extend the functionality of insurance applications.
- Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive customer data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Optimize application performance and scalability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and other performance-related issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, sharing your expertise and best practices to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to improve and innovate insurance software solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on .NET technologies and C#.
- Extensive experience working within the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of insurance-related processes and systems.
- Proficiency in CSS, HTML, and potentially JavaScript for frontend development.
- Strong expertise in backend development using .NET frameworks and C#.
- Hands-on experience with database design, SQL, and data manipulation.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles, with the ability to create maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Experience with version control systems, code reviews, and collaborative development practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) a plus.
