Publicly traded REIT looking to hire a Tax Senior to join their growing LI based team. 


Compensation : $95000 - $110000

Job Function:

  • Prepare federal, multi-state and local income/franchise tax returns for REITs, C-corporations, and partnerships/LLCs, in accordance with tax regulations
  • Prepare state and local apportionment analyses and tax allocations
  • Prepare quarterly federal, state, and local estimated installment and annual extension calculations
  • Assist with preparation of REIT due diligence documentation, REIT qualification tests and analysis
  • Assist in maintaining tax calendar of all tax filing requirements in accordance with federal, state and local tax regulations
  • Manage tax notices and assist with tax audit examinations, as necessary
  • Research and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns
  • Collaborate and develop strong working relationships with internal and external functional teams in support of tax return preparations and documentation


Job Requirement:

  • 3-5 years of experience – real estate and/or financial services industry, a plus
  • A CPA desirable
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, state and local taxation required
  • Knowledge of REITs, a plus
  • Understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
  • Strong PC skills, including tax compliance and research software
  • Solid project management skills with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and people skills
