A respected Financial Institution based in NYC is looking for a Sr. Trade Capture Specialist to help open their new Stamford, CT office! This professional should have programming experience and will be offered competitive compensation and benefits to work a hybrid schedule out of the beautiful brand-new Connecticut office complete with water-front views and golf simulators.

Job Function:

  • Support Middle Office functions for Credit, Long short, Volatility, and Event Driven Strategies.
  • Assure all trades, manual and automated, are received and processed into Front End system and flow to back-office system.
  • Review and resolve cash and position reconciliations breaks between shadow books and Prime Brokers.
  • Review Corporate Actions and assure trading positions are correct for start of day trading.
  • Daily reconciliation of P&L calculation within Portfolio Management System and General Ledger.
  • Match trades out on CTM/Traiana and process trade cancel corrects as necessary.
  • Trade matching and fails in all global markets at Prime Brokers and Custodians.
  • Assist PM’s/Traders in various research projects.
  • Compliance monitoring for short sales and locate approval.
  • Responsible for security set up in security master system for various products including, but not limited to equities, equity/var/vol swaps, futures, convertible, corporate, municipal, sovereign bonds, securitized products, PIPES, CDS/CDX, OTC exotic options and baskets.
  • Responsible for processing 500+ trades daily for 20+ Portfolio Managers and Traders.

Job Requirements:

  • BS degree in Finance or related degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 6 years of trade capture experience
  • Credit, Fixed Income, and Derivative product knowledge
  • CTM, Traina experience preferred
  • MUST HAVE SQL and/or VBA programming experience
  • Corporate Actions / Reconciliations
