  • Our client is looking to add an experienced junior structured credit Risk & Trading professional to join the existing team in New York City in a front-office position that reports into the CRO.
  • This role will require daily work the risk & trading teams to record & reconciling trades.
  • The ideal hire will also work closely with Marketing developing data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to our ~20 Investors as well as to auditors & governance on the portfolio's performance.  
  • This hire will calculate daily changes to interest rates, adjust prepayment models, calculate impact on potential defaults & accompanying loss severity. You will review all business plans and play a critical role in any liquidation plans & timelines.  
  • This role will report into the CRO but will also have direct lines into the CEO, CFO & Head Trader projecting the funds’ management and performance fees to support decisions related to company business matters; assisting with cash management; projecting cash available for distributions and pending new investments versus cash required to support currency hedges.
  • This will also require regular coordination with Compliance for auditor reporting.  
  • This is a growth position, and we are looking for that unique candidate who can work across Risk & Trading--as well, work with our quantitative & IT team to improve our trading & automation.  
  • Our client is fully returned to office and requires hires be vaccinated.


Job Requirements:


  • 3-6 Years Structured Credit or DCM--ideally an on-the-desk trading assistant background from a buy-side or sell-side institution including Funds, PE, BDC, IBank
  • Bachelors degree in economics, finance, financial engineering--advanced degree or CFA a plus
  • Solid understanding of finance, economics and fund concepts in accounting
  • High proficiency in Excel with experience in P&L computations.
  • While candidates with accounting will be considered--we are looking for a seasoned credit professional with a quantitative mathematics skill set (not a programmer) who can assimilate into our Client's US team that includes 6 Risk Professionals and 8 Seasoned Credit Traders.
