A growing, prominent consulting and advisory firm is looking to hire a manager level valuations professional to join their NYC team.

  • Direct junior staff in developing detailed financial models to value companies and fund investments
  • Present thorough analyses to clients consistent with the scope of the projects
  • Consistently meet client deadlines and quality expectations
  • Take ownership in the work product, including the analyses developed by junior staff
  • Effectively manage the deadlines of the project tasks undertaken by junior staff
  • Lead the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables
  • Demonstrate consistent, balanced project delegation, supervision and leadership skills across all areas of an engagement
  • Participate in the development of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial consulting practice including assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelors or Masters degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 5-8+ years of prior valuation work experience is required, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis (particularly in Excel), including constructing and understanding 3-statement financial models, cash flows and scenario analyses
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
  • Ability to interpret the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis and develop insights and recommendations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management and other stakeholders or
  • Experience as a key team member leading the development and ultimate completion of client-ready valuation deliverables (or similar client service deliverables)
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing work demands and learn quickly
  • Familiarity with financial research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.)
  • Solvency opinion experience is a big plus
