WhiteCap Search participated in its 2nd annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk this past Sunday October 15th in Central Park! Our employees held a fundraising happy hour with a raffle prize to help meet our donation goal, campaigned on social media, and wore pink the Friday before the walk to show their support if they could not attend the walk itself. We had over 30 people walk for the WhiteCap Search team this year, and we not only reached, but exceeded our donation goal of $3,000! Thank you to everyone who donated to this worthwhile cause – we are already looking forward to next year’s event!
“Whitecap Search participated in its 2nd annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. This past Sunday 10/15 was a wonderful way to come together and support the fight against cancer! Collectively, our team raised over $3,600.00 surpassing our team goal and in addition to fundraising, we also increased company participation in the walk immensely from last year. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States and unfortunately impacts too many of us both directly and indirectly. This walk is put on by the American Cancer Society which is an amazing nationwide voluntary health organization that has been dedicated to eliminating cancer since 1913. This past weekend was a wonderful opportunity to come together, support those fighting cancer, and raise money for a worthy cause, especially with October being breast cancer awareness month.
